Merry Belated Christmas!

With all my cheesecake adventures, my in-laws heard me say something about a stand mixer.  So, for Christmas, they got me a stand mixer to make my cheesecaking time a whole lot easier!! :D  I haven't got to use it yet, but I can't wait until I do!!

We took a two day trip to hubby's hometown.  I finally got to drive about 99% of the time we were there, so I'm learning my way around.  Thankfully the snow didn't show up while we were there, because this girl can't drive on snow.  I won't even leave the house if snow is in the forecast.  I've never learned how to drive on it, and that can be said of most of the people that live here.  The last "snow storm" we got was in March of 1993.  There wasn't much on the ground, but I remember trying to make a snowman and trying to have a snowball fight.  Neither was very successful.  It was maybe an inch deep.

The way I am about snow is the same about New Year's Eve.  You won't see me driving on the roads!!!  Years ago before I met hubby, I worked where I got to leave about the same time the bars closed up.  No, I didn't work in a bar! LOL  So, since then, I've decided since the majority of drunks are on the road after the New Year is rung in, I'll just stay home.  Yeah, I know, I'm a party pooper, but at least I'll be safe and I don't have to worry about what to wear!!  That's a bonus.

So, in closing, Merry Christmas everyone and have a Happy and Safe New Year!!!

  2. I gotta say.. I read stand mixer and the rest of the post fizzled away. Those things are expensive! What a blessing!!!!!!!! I still use one of those dinky $20 hand mixers, but hey! I get to build muscles! lol. Congratulations and here's to easy cheese cakes in the future! The "hubby" must be thrilled too! haha

    Happy New Year!!
